Lesson schedule
2 lessons per week over 6 weeks = 12 lessons with the task introduced in lesson 5
Lesson management
Student groups - Split students into groups of 3 or 4 people
The following items need to be organised/booked before each of the indicated lessons

- Lessons 1 – 4 – Reading: Students read a range of myths (library books), guided reading and discussion
- Lesson 5 – Viewing: Task explained, group allocation, select a myth, view example claymation video, brainstorm ideas,
- Lesson 6 & 7 – Writing: Write script, and create storyboard
- Lesson 8 & 9 – Art: Paint backdrops & make clay creatures
- Lesson 10 & 11 – Technology: Take photos, create in Movie Maker (add sound effects, music & narration)
- Lesson 12 – Articulation: Present videos to peers & online survey

- Lesson 1 - borrow library books about myths & legends.
- Lesson 5 - photocopy handout 01 02 03 Story-Boarding for Animation, check example video is accessible via YouTube Cannibal Blob
- Lesson 10 - borrow digital cameras from other classes (need 1 per group) and photocopy handout 04 Shooting your claymation
Note - if groups finish photos they can start working on Movie Maker using class computers - Lesson 11 - book mobile laptop station for students to work on Movie Maker and photocopy handout 05 06 07 08 Music, editing & publishing
- Lesson 12 - check that students have saved their projects into their home folder & put a copy on a USB key
